Fun with Numicon

Roll the dice with big numbers (5-10) first, find the numicon shape, after that roll a second dice with numbers (0-5) and finally roll the dice with + and -. During subtraction place small numicon shape on top of the big one and check how much you have left. To solve addition put two numicon shapes next to each other and count the holes together.

Use glass nuggets from your flower pot. To be honest you can use anything your child likes to play with. Try to use dinosaurs, little people, dolls or soft toys. Real vegetables and fruits are also great.

My First addition Snap Game

The game is using numbers up to 10, children will be trying to snap cards with matching answers, for example 6 + 2 with 4 + 4. It is quite early to start this skill but it will help your child a lot in the future. Try to play pairs first, by mathing the numbers together.
