Things you can use:

• Edible Sand - polenta and cous cous (left over from a previous tray)
• Water - two different shades of blue sand.
• Fishing rods - with magnets
• Real shells and stones
• Plastic sea creatures

I put metal pins in light plastic sea creatures so you can fish them.

Spin to check how many fish you can catch.

Take it further by hiding a blue sheet with printed microscopic shapes. Give your child a magnifying glass and go on a shape hunt.
