We started using our senses to explore the world from birth. We used tasting, smelling. touching, seeing, hearing and moving. Learning should encourage using senses to make it more memorable.
Children learn better and retain more information when actively engaged in learning (hands-on learning) and to make it more memorable when senses are engaged. When we give our kids opportunity to involve senses while learning we help them to build connections in the brain's pathways.
